UT Vols vs. MTSU Blue Raiders – Men’s Basketball

Basketball season has begun and Davidson County Alumni will soon get our first opportunity to see the Volunteers play in Nashville!  Join Volunteer fans as the UT Men's Basketball team takes the floor against Middle Tennessee State on Friday, December 11th at the Sommet Center in downtown Nashville.  The Vols play in the first game of a scheduled double-header.  Vanderbilt plays Western Kentucky following the UT game.  One ticket allows you to see two games!

Plan to join the Davidson County Alumni at a Pre-Game Reception to welcome Bruce Pearl and the Volunteer Men’s Basketball team to Nashville.  The reception will begin at 4:30 PM in the Sommet Center’s banquet room.  Plan to get to the reception early!  Coach Pearl will attend the reception but will then leave early to be with the team.  Cash Bar available.

Tennessee in Training – Training for 2010 Country Music Half Marathon
The UT Young Alumni are planning to conduct a training program to prepare you for the April Country Music Marathon & Half Marathon.  The Country Music Marathon & Half Marathon is scheduled for April 24, 2010.

The program begins in early February and it lasts until April (12 week program).  The group will meet in Centennial Park every Saturday morning for weekly group runs.  For more information, email tennesseeintraining@tennessee.edu or join the Facebook group “Tennessee In Training”.  A formal announcement will be made the week after Thanksgiving.


BUS TRIP – UT Vols vs. South Carolina (Men’s Basketball)
Saturday, February 6, 2010.
Game Time 6:00 PM EST (Note: bus departure time TBD).
Join other local Vol fans on our annual basketball game bus trip to see the Tennessee Vols Men’s Basketball team play Eastern Division foe South Carolina.

There will be a pre-game Open House for the new Pratt Pavilion basketball practice facility in which we will attend.
